Elumin8 Ltd has formed a strategic partnership with Chinese lighting company Tianjin Gongda Hiyu Solid State Lighting Co. Ltd. (Hiyu). The agreement is to develop advanced LED street lighting applications and distribute across Europe, Middle East & Asia. HiYu is an associate of the Climate Control Committee – part of the Climate Group.
Public input to help shape the technical requirements in Standard 90.1 is being sought through 21 proposed addenda, which could become part of the 2010 standard. ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2007, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, provides minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of buildings except low-rise residential buildings. The proposed addenda cover a range of topic areas, including daylighting, air leakage, EER and IEER values and requirements for VRF air conditioners and heat pumps.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa P. Jackson has released an action plan to guide the Obama Administration’s efforts to restore the Great Lakes. The action plan, which the administrator unveiled at a Sunday meeting with governors from the Great Lakes states, lays out the most urgent threats facing the Great Lakes and sets out goals, objectives, and key actions over the next five years to help restore the lakes.
